How we write our guides
The parent guides on this site answer the questions parents bring to a sleep clock: early waking, getting out of bed, screens at bedtime, routines. This page says how they are written, so you can judge them.
Where the advice comes from
- Published guidance, linked. Where a guide gives advice on sleep, it follows what the NHS publishes for parents and links to the page it used. We do not add medical advice of our own.
- What the app actually does. Every claim about SlumberPal comes from the app’s own help articles and from how it is built. If the app does not do something, the guide does not say it does.
- Comparisons from public listings. A page that compares SlumberPal with another product uses that product’s own listing and public reviews, and says the date it was checked.
What the guides will not do
- They are not medical advice. If you are worried about your child’s sleep, health or development, speak to your GP or health visitor.
- They do not promise results. Every child is different; a sleep clock gives a child a signal they can read, and that is all we claim for it.
- They carry no sponsored content, affiliate links or paid placements. The only products we sell are our own, and the guides say so where they mention them.
Who writes them, and how they are checked
The guides are written by the SlumberPal team at Slumber Pal Ltd, the company that makes the app. We draft with the help of writing tools, and a person at SlumberPal reads every page before it is published and whenever it changes, checking each claim against the source it cites and against the app.
Dates and corrections
Every guide shows when it was last updated, under its title. We revisit the guides when the app changes, when the guidance they cite changes, and when a parent tells us something is wrong. To ask for a correction, email support@slumberpal.app with “Correction” in the subject and the page’s address; see contact.
